U-RODZINY 2018 – Event Summary

ANRO had the honour of being an official partner of this prestigious gathering.

From 11–14 October 2018, family business owners from across Poland came together in Katowice to attend the 11th National Congress of Family Businesses – U-RODZINY 2018. This is the largest and most significant event for family entrepreneurs in Poland. Alongside business leaders, the Congress was attended by politicians, local authorities, experts, and guests with an interest in family entrepreneurship.

Organised annually since 2008 by the Association of Family Business Initiatives, U-RODZINY is a unique space for open discussion and long-term collaboration. Each year, the event is held in a different region of Poland, fostering regional diversity and engagement.

Why U-RODZINY 2018 Was Exceptional:
Scale: Over 400 participants, nearly 70 speakers and special guests, and more than 50 partners and patrons took part.

Content: A rich programme of over 25 expert panels, workshops, and keynote speeches, a gala for family businesses at the International Congress Centre, and an artistic evening at the NOSPR (Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra).

Atmosphere: A warm, family-focused environment ideal for networking, relationship building, and collaboration – both professionally and personally.

Themed: “Aspirations and Opportunities”
The central question explored:
“Can Polish family businesses play a significant role in the European and global economy?”

During the Gala of Family Businesses, the upcoming 12th edition of U-RODZINY was announced, to be held in Warsaw on 25–27 October 2019.
